I’m a freelance film writer, critic, and programmer.

I am a member of the European Film Academy, FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics), and Verband der deutschen Filmkritik (VdFk). I am also a Golden Globes voter for the 84th and 85th editions (2027/2028).

Writing: I am a contributor for Cineuropa, with bylines in MUBI Notebook, Little White Lies, Senses of Cinema, Zippy Frames, Screen Slate, Talking Shorts, Crooked Marquee, Modern Times Review, Swiss Info, and more.

Festivals: I’ve covered film events of all sorts, including large international festivals (Berlinale, Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Toronto, Rotterdam, Locarno), medium-sized festivals (Karlovy Vary, San Sebastián, Tallinn Black Nights, Tromsø, Marrakech), and specialised festivals (animation, documentary, short film, genre). I also cover industry-related fora, such as work-in-progress and distribution events, panels, and markets.

Curation: I am a member of the selection committee for Berlin Critics’ Week (Woche der Kritik) and the film programming team for the documentary film festival One World Slovakia.

Editorial: I serve as the publishing coordinator for Cineuropa’s GoCritic! workshop for emerging writers and support the editorial team at International Film Festival Rotterdam.
