I am a playwright, director, composer, and occasional actor.

My interest in theatre began in elementary school, although I began thinking most rigorously about a future with theatre during my late high school years when I wrote my first play, Forty-Seven. It was selected to be presented at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and I received the VSA Playwright Discovery Award.

While pursuing my bachelor’s at Stanford University, I was the artistic director for the Stanford Asian American Theater Project and was involved with various other theatrical organizations. I transitioned primarily to playwriting with the completion of my degree, writing both straight plays and musical theatre.
